Artists like 50 cent, Chingy, Bobby Valentino, Bizzy Bone all contributed and it was a no-brainer when asked to do it.
Produced by New York rapper ‘Hav Boy’ Monte, the inspiration came from having a conversation with Mase and Jadakiss, both of whom worked with Biggie before his passing 11 years ago.
Monte said
“The studio that I work out of is in Bed-Stuy where Biggie was raised … the block that he was on everyday and that conversation between Mase and Jadakiss just kept running through my mind so I called a bunch of people that I thought would be great for the record; people who had meaning whether it meant past, present or future.”
“Everyone that I reached out to was happy to do it. Nobody even wanted any money for doing this.”
