Middle and high school students have been set a creative task in Central Indiana.

Students are using the art of rhyme to battle against crime and gang violence in the area.

The ‘Rhymes Against Crime’ Competition is in its second year and the two best will get $750 scholarships and the ten best entries will record their rhymes with professional producers

Tasha Jones, a teacher at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School, says this is an opportunity for those who love rap and hip-hop to promote a positive message.
