T.I. Banned From School Talks

April 24th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Atlanta rapper T.I. (born Clifford Harris) has been banned from speaking to students at some schools in the Atlanta area.

High School Pebblebrook cancelled the rapper’s appearance because they felt it wasnt the best time to visit with the recent gang problems the school has had (including the death of a student).

Reps from The Fulton County school district say T.I. is banned from speaking to students because of his gun conviction.

But Gerald Rose an activist for the New World Order said

“That’s the very reason Harris needs to be at Pebblebrook … He needs to come here and bring his message”.

The rapper pleaded guilty to Federal Weapons Possession charges and has been sentenced to one year in prison. But his sentence will begin once he has completed 1,500 hours of community service which include talking to youth groups about guns amongst other issues.
