The Streetz Is Talking

April 28th, 2008 · No Comments

The Hip Hop Chronicle caught up with the rising star from Atlanta, The Streetz. Born in the Carribbean and now about to take America by storm, Streetz should not be slept on. He’s already recieved the co-signs from Nitti, DJ Troop and the late legend Big Pun and in this interview he’s candid about his come up and his ambition.

So everyone hush because the Streetz is talking.

Streetz

Who is the Streetz?

CEO of Street Value Entertainment and the new face of Hip Hop and voice of the hood. Hottest Nigga in the hood right now. THe only thats getting Major Lables calling on a daily basis and major publications from Vibe to Hip Hop Weekely going crazy. I am the only dude drop a album for the Strees ft Jay-Z, Young Joc, Nitti, DJ Troop, Meagan Good.

Streetz - On My Grind (Produced by Nitti)

Tell us your journey into Hip Hop?

Never was really interested in being an MC more of the person funding a situation and being a CEO. Really just took a Street Movement (Street Value) and took it to the Hip Hop game. I love music and thats my reason for being involve because I think my story and  music is needed. At this point I just want to bring back that feeling to music, that classic music. I have my own lane right now just being from the Caribbean and in the South

You had some tough experiences as a young man, could you tell us about them and how that made you into the man you are today?

Mom was shot in front of me at a young age so had to go out and make it happen. My Pops was the biggest rude boy where I’m from and when he went to jail, I took off from where he left the game and took it to another level.

Tell us about your meeting with Big Pun? What did he say that made you certain that rapping was what you wanted to do?

Me and my team use to bring alot of artists down to do shows and one the artists we had for a venue was Big Pun. We had the opportunity to really sit and chat and at that point I really wasnt interested in the music but he got to telling me how it was crazy to see some of the stuff in the islands and how real it was.

Big Pun

And to see such a young dude moving the way I was crazy, Pun was a real cool dude and I kicked a lil verse and before I could even get going, he was like “Damn” and from there I gave it some thought. But you know I wanted my own situation so we went about putting that together and putting out music that just keep spreading and the buzz kept growing and here we are about 2 years in and we the biggest Independant situation right now.

Tell us about the Street Value Entertainment Movement?

Street Value is the hottest thing in the hood since 24″ Rims homie. We’re a full range company from music to film and within the next 5 years you can expect us to conquer all those areas. With me being at the top of the food chain with this music period anyone feel different could kill themself. We are the new Rocafella, G-Unit, No Limit, Bad Boy, a team of youung guys with a new look and feel. Street Value Ent “Believe now, hate later”.

Streetz - Beat In Da Trunk ft Yung Joc

What makes you different from other artists out?

Most artists out now dont have a story and are really just rappers they say whatever rhymes. When you hear my music, its going to influence you to get up, make it happen, not give up. Im making that legendary Tupac, Bob Marley, Biggie Music. This is greatness, Im not a rapper made by a label or a ringtone rapper with one song. Im a movement and thats what’s missing. my style is unique and the best of both worlds where the Caribbean (Reggae) meets Hip Hop all in one.

Anything you can give from your favorite artist, im that and more. Streetz is the new movement, Street Value is the new gang and right now the hood agrees and the labels is calling. We already close to 3 million myspace plays, DJ support and radio paly. I dont do this for the money, been had that, I do this for the love and to be the best out and Im not going to stop until im the best.

You’ve already had co-signs from Nitti & DJ Troop but what can fans of hip hop expect from your mixtape, ‘The Supply’?

A instant motherf**king classic and that’s just the sample. The album will be 10 million times better promise. You got to get that shit.

Street Value Ent. CEO's

Would you like to give any shout outs?

Shout out to all the haters and the entire Street Value Family. To Everyone that believed in me thats for the support. And special thanks to The Hip Hop Chronicle for taking the time to interview the new face of hip hop and voice of the hood.
