Hip Hop & Books - Can Hip Hop & Politics Work Together?

Shadow Play Entertainment, in connection with Hiphop and Books and its literary partners, are pleased to invite you to the 4th Installment of their forums exploring the power of Hiphop!

You are cordially invited to “HIPHOP & POLITICS: Can the two work together for the good of the people?” This will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2008 @ 6p.m. at the Jackson Enterprise Center (931 HWY 80W * Jackson, MS).
 
During this thought-provoking two our discussion, the following will be addressed:
 
*     Should entertainers use their celebrity to influence how people vote?
*     Is the Hiphop community giving Senators Obama and McCain equal consideration?
*     What are the leaders in Hiphop locally and nationally doing to educate the public about their voting rights?
*     How can the Hiphop community use its influence for the good of their community?
 
Panelists include recording artists Eddie Wright, Big Pap and Jokah the General, radio show host Berlinda White, community activist Valencia Robinson and more! The forum will be moderated by Hiphop and Books Founder Cyrus A. Webb.
