And In Case You Missed Ice Cube’s Message For The Hip Hop Chronicle

Ice Cube Concert – Short Review

After interviewing Cube, we went to see him tear down the stage in London.

With his Dub C as his hype man and Crazy Tunes as his DJ, they rolled out hits like Bow Down, Smoke Weed, You Can Do It and took it way back to the ’80′s performing tracks from the N.W.A. era.

Cube is a fantastic performer. His energy was right, he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.

What surprised me about the crowd was the age, there were alot of young Hip Hop fans who were singing along to the old school tracks.

Dub C held it down and did a great job.

One thing we’ve never seen at a concert, is see the crowd curse the person they paid to see. Dub C had the crowd shout ‘F*ck You, Ice Cube!’ and they obliged. Cube loved it and encouraged them to say it more.

The one track that EVERYONE in the arena sang to was ‘Today Was A Good Day’. That was amazing to see.

Cube also performed Gangster Rap Made Me Do It solo with a mic stand – that was dope.

He also had a message for real Hip Hop fans and the corporations most notably ‘Viacom’. He showed his love to the online people saying ‘thank god for things like youtube’.

The rapper also addressed the recent spat of knife crime in the UK saying, its not the music that’s encouraging the crime, its the conditions we live in.

It was fabolous concert and for those who have never been to an Ice Cube concert, get your tickets now because you wont be disappointed.
