Its the film that has taken Hollywood by storm and now Slumdog Millionaire has presented UK artist M.I.A.’s label with a Golden Globe.

Winning Best Original Score at this year’s Golden Globes, the film’s soundtrack was composed by A.R. Rahman, with the soundtrack being the first release on the latter’s N.E.E.T label.

M.I.A. had never worked with Rahman before Slumdog Millionaire even though the UK artist had recorded much of her album (’Kala’) inside Rahman’s studio.

But after meeting the Bollywood composer and being inspired by the project, M.I.A. made the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack not only the first release on her N.E.E.T. label (acronym for Not in Education, Employment or Training) but also performed three tracks on the soundtrack.
