Soulja Boy has revealed how he got radio DJ’s interested in his debut single ‘Crank Dat’.
The teenage star told radio stations that ‘Crank Dat’ was a new single from 50 Cent and Britney Spears.
He printed labels with the star’s name on the cd’s to make sure radio DJ’s listened to his track, hoping they would like it, which ultimately they did.
“I put a whole lot of different people’s names just to catch people’s attention, so they can hear it. That’s how the word spread about the song, and basically it made me famous. It was a good idea to do it.”
