I caught up with Caktuz during his trip to the UK recently. Born in North Carolina but now residing in Brooklyn, Caktuz continues to do his thing. Caktuz was imprisoned for 8 years at a young age. D-Block’s new album will be released through E1 Music. “No Security” will be available in-stores and online on Tuesday, June 9th. Collectively, solo projects from Jada, Sheek and Styles have sold over 3 million albums and their new single “Get That Paper” is in heavy rotation at Hot 97. The album features O.J. Da Juiceman, Webstar, Beanie Sigel and Red Cafe.
Here in the UK, we have several talent shows, one of them being “Britain’s Got Talent”, with the winners performing for the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. This year’s finale show street dance group Diversity win ahead of Susan Boyle. Diversity is made up of dancers who are aged between 12-20. Congrats to them and I wish them all the best for the Royal Variety Performance.

Jay-Z and Eminem have been signed by Activision to be the face of DJ Hero. Both artists will contribute tracks to the game and lend their names to future downloadable content. The Roots have been confirmed to open the Meltdown Festival in London this coming June. The band will perform with 91-year-old Sax Legend Andy Hamiliton and David Murrary at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall. The Festival is renowned for putting artists from different genres together and 2009 will be no different. The Roots are set to perform on the 13th June.
