Earlier this evening I spoke to Amerie on a Def Jam Conference Call. The talented R&B singer has signed with Def Jam for her brand new album “In Love & War”, which hit scheduled to drop on August 11th 2009.
I am looking forward to this album because I think Amerie has a strong voice and a nice sound but the genre is general has some fantastic acts. So I asked Amerie what is going to separate herself from the rest of the R&B singers that are currently obtaining commerical success.
The singer told me that she is only concentrated on her own music. She did reveal however the direction that her album will sound like.
She said it will be a mixture of Hip Hop, Soul and Rock.
Oh she also said she cant wait to come back to the UK, “I cant wait to get back to the UK, I love it”
