R&B legend Teena Marie has died at the age of 54.
The cause of death is known not but tweets from CNN’s Roland Martin confirm that Marie suffered a seizure at her home last month.
The singer who released 13 studio albums, rose to fame in the late 1970′s and 1980′s. She was also known for her musical relationship with Rick James.
Artists like The Fugees, Redman, Jadakiss and Grand Puba have all sampled her music.
My thoughts and prayers go to her family.
