DJ Brandi Garcia was fired from Houston station KBXX 97.9 The Box after she played a Trae The Truth verse off a Wacka Flacka remix.
Garcia was spinning at a 50 Cent concert. The concert was not a radio event and the DJ called it a “neutral event”.
She went into work the next day and was fired for playing the record.
Trae has had an on-going dispute with the station after he alleged that The Box banned his music following an on-air altercation with the morning show host.
