Earlier today, United States President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (Congratulations).
News outlets on both sides of the Atlantic have weighed in. I’ve seen correspondents on BBC News who feel giving the award to President Obama is a little premature.
Tweets across the world have also weighed in on the situation including Asher Roth (Thanks to the Urban Daily for the screenshot)
Since this tweet, I’ve seen people on twitter calling Asher a racist.
I dont think Asher Roth is a racist because his remark has got nothing to do with race. He just feels that Barack Obama isnt deserving of the award.
That’s what I’ve been hearing all day from news correspondents. The only difference is Asher used the words “by just talking shit”.
At what point does Asher talk about President Obama’s skin colour or race? He doesnt. He just voiced his opinion. Do I think Obama has just been talking “shit”? No I dont.
United States President Barack Obama has apparently called Kanye West a “jackass” over the rapper’s outburst during the MTV VMA’s on Sunday.
West had interrupted Taylor Swift’s award acceptance speech but now it seems that President Obama has weighed in on the situation.
According to the Huffington Post, the President made an off-the-record remark during an interview with CNBC but it somehow made it on to twitter.
ABC reporter Terry Moran wrote on the social networking site,
“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”
In response to this, Rap Radar has posted up ABC’s statement on the incident,
In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.

Jon Stewart’s ‘The Daily Show’ took a stab at Grading Barack Obama’s First 100 Days. CNN had a programme yesterday where they graded the U.S. President on a number of topics and issues.
I have no idea what the CNN news reader was thinking talking with ‘Swagger’.
I watch the Daily Show everyday and for viewers in the UK, this should be on today’s episode.
