Earlier this week, Hip Hop lost yet another artist. UK rapper Derek Boland suffered a heart attack and passed away on the 16th Novemeber. He started in the game as a DJ, rocking on then pirate station Kiss FM. One of his first singles was “Rock The Beat”, which he co-produced. MC Remedee aka Cookie Pryce aka legend (as I like to call her!) sat down with True School Stories to talk about Hip Hop and the Cookie Crew. The Cookie Crew were one of the pioneer’s in UK Hip Hop. They had a top 5 hit back in the 1980′s! (I think it was in 1988 off the top of my head).
