On his new, DJBooth.net-hosted Sol Parables mixtape, Baltimore emcee The Black Sunn presents nine musical narratives designed to entertain listeners and spread knowledge in the process – whether you feel it or not, you can’t deny the truth. Included on the project are Booth-premiered leaks “Black Serenade” and “Leave Luck to Heaven,” along with guest appearances by J. Nolan, B Wisdom and fellow reader favorite 810. Beats come courtesy of Damu the Fudgemunk, Remot, Mydus and more.

Next month, two-time Best of the Booth award-winner K. Sparks is set to drop A Day in the Life, a concept album that will explore various facets of the Queens emcee’s psyche through the lens of his day-to-day activities. Produced by G.C. and mixed by HipNOTT Records’ own DJ Mark 1, the project was recorded, in its entirety, over the course of 24 hours. In anticipation of the project’s arrival, we are proud to present this freely-downloadable sampler, featuring Booth-premiered, Sean Price/Julius Francis-assisted lead single “Keep Moving” and nine more tracks off the album. Other guest contributors include Cymarshall Law and Dave Barz.
