Stallone Dumps 50 Cent
Mar 24
Just days after defending his casting choice, Sylvester Stallone has now dropped 50 Cent from the cast of ’The Expendables’.
Last week, The Hip Hop Chronicle UK reported that 50 Cent had replaced Forest Whitaker in the film much to the dismay of fans, who believe the rapper isnt a credible actor.
Stallone defended his decision to cast the rapper but now it seems the former ‘Rocky’ star has taken on board the fans’ grievances and has dropped 50 Cent from the movie in favour of actor Terry Crews (who appears in Everybody Hates Chris).
The film boasts an all-star cast including Mickey Rourke, Jet Li and Jason Statham

Sylvester Stallone has defended his decision to cast 50 Cent in his upcoming film ‘The Expendables’.
Stallone approached 50 Cent to take on the role after Forest Whitaker dropped out, but the decision has come under fire from Stallone fans who claim the rapper isnt a credible actor.
Fans on online forum StalloneZone took aim at 50 Cent and slammed Stallone for the casting.
Stallone then wrote to the forum’s adminstrator saying,
“Please tell the loyal followers to be positive not negative in their feedback. I am not self-destructive. The anger of the casting of 50 Cent is understandable, but not fair. A player is only as good as his coach. If a man can communicate in one medium, he can communicate in another if his strengths are brought out and he has the support of well-wishers. So, trust me, the change of Forest Whitaker to 50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson is a good one.”
Forest Whitaker was originally slated to appear in the film as Agent Will Sands but had to drop out because of scheduling conflicts.
The film which already has an all-star cast, features the likes of Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham.

50 Cent has offered to mentor Joaquin Phoenix as the actor turned musician wants to become a rapper.

Earlier this year, Phoenix put on a strange performance where he new songs which he said would be on his new rap album.
Now superstar rapper 50 Cent insists the former Hollywood has a chance at being a successl, he just needs to rap on his experiences.
Speaking to BlackVoices.com, 50 Cent said
“He should write about the things that he has real interest in, the things he has been influenced by. Because, when an artist writes something that’s totally away from their experience period, it can’t be embraced. Like when you have a former correctional officer (Rick Ross) write from the biggest drug dealer in Miami’s perspective, they don’t get it. It’s not necessary for you to be involved in criminal activity at any point in your life for you to be a part of hip-hop. You can come in and write from a totally positive perspective.”
