White Stripes member Jack White has revealed that he has recorded a song with Jay-Z.
Speaking to GQ, White said,
“We did a song together a few weeks ago - it was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable sounding.”
There’s been no word on whether the track will get an official release.

After we get his story Lenny opens up his vault which is one of most tightly guarded stashes of photos in the entertainment industry. Some of the shots he shows for the first time ever include a very young Usher with Busta Rhymes at Diddy’s birthday party, Kanye West and Amber Rose sharing a private moment and the photo he says was his favorite ever of Roc-a-fella Records CEO’s Jay-Z, Damon Dash and Kareem Burke. You will NEVER see these photos again!!!!
“There’s a misunderstanding with my fanbase,” The Age quoted him as saying. ”People [at Warner] feel they know my fans more than I do. They want me to step out of my comfort zone and step into theirs. I don’t have necessarily the celebrity success they want me to have, but it’s more social success and being able to speak at a college about world affairs. That’s a success to me. I don’t want to be Jay-Z and be worth $400 million and perform on every awards show. It’s getting in touch with somebody who needs to improve their self-esteem as opposed to driving a Bentley and putting some chains on.”

In the second part of my interview with Steve Rifkind, the SRC founder recounts the time when he signed the Wu Tang Clan.
He was with E. Swift (Tha Alkaholiks) when RZA brought “Protect Your Neck” for them to hear.
An hour later, RZA brings the whole clan to the spot and they perform “Protect Your Neck”. While they are performing, a random intern (who I’ll call the phantom intern) runs into the room saying “that’s that shit!”. Steve Rifkind only saw that intern on that day and never again. But that guy ultimately influenced Rifkind’s decision to sign the Wu.
We speak about his relationship with Diddy. He revealed that Rifkind introduced Diddy to Clive Davis’ bosses
I also ask Steve about his first run-in with Tupac Shakur. Steve Rifkind revealed that Pac stayed at his house in L.A. because Steve’s label were doing the promotion for Interscope at the time (before Death Row). Steve and Tupac used to smoke together at the office.
And finally Steve tells me the time when he broke his nose playing basketball and while on the way to the hospital, he was told to listen to 3 Akon records, which he loved and decided he had to sign him.

I caught up with Steve Rifkind during his stay in London. It was a great honour for me to sit down and interview someone who has done alot for Hip Hop music.
In this first part of the interview, I get Steve to break down the Duck Seazon lyrics where RZA says “Stev Rifkind must be sniffin”.
We then get onto speaking about Steve’s first encounters with artists.
He explains how Havoc (Mobb Deep) lit up a blunt during their firs meeting and caused a fire alarm to go off.
I ask him to talk about the first time he met Melanie Fiona and how he thought her manager was “breathtakingly beautiful” and at the time he had just turned single!
The Loud & SRC founder also describes a 16 year old Dame Dash as a “cocky motherfucker” who came into Steve’s office shouting and screaming with his cousin. Rifkind once thought Roc-A-Fella would be his competition.
Steve Rifkind tried revealed he tried to sign Jay-Z but was was frustrated that the Chairman of BMG wouldn’t sign Jigga that he threw everything off the Chairman’s desk.
There’s also a great story about Steve Rifkind throwing a chair threw a window over a Wu Tang record and being led out of the building in handcuffs.
