Reports suggest that the 5-track EP from Jay-Z and Kanye will drop on the same day Nicki Minaj is set to release her Young Money debut “Pink Friday”. There are also unconfirmed reports that the EP will be released with Def Jam. Kanye’s album is slated for November 16th. GG

A promo video for Jay’s new book “Decoded” has been released. In it, Hova speaks on the verse he did for the Chris Martin collabo “Most Kingz”.

Jay-Z’s brand new book “Decoded” hits stores this November. The cover for the book has been revealed and features Andy Warhol’s “Rorschach” piece created in 1984. “Decoded” break’s down 36 songs from Jay’s catalog, with first-hand account of his rhymes.   After the jump is an extract from the book. 

This year’s nominations for MTV Europe Music Awards have been announced by Eminem has been given 4 nods. The rapper is up for Best Video, Best Hip Hop, Best Male and Best Song  for “Love the Way You Lie”, which features Rihanna. Jay-Z and Coldplay have apparently landed a multi-million dollar deal to perform a New Year’s Eve gig. According to DrewReports, Jay-Z and Coldplay have been booked by party planner Colin Cowie for the opening of Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. A source said, “Organizers have spent millions securing the acts. The word is that Beyoncé is now looking for a Vegas New Year’s gig so she will be in town with Jay.”
