Derek B R.I.P.
Nov 19
Earlier this week, Hip Hop lost yet another artist. UK rapper Derek Boland suffered a heart attack and passed away on the 16th Novemeber.
He started in the game as a DJ, rocking on then pirate station Kiss FM.
One of his first singles was “Rock The Beat”, which he co-produced.
In 1998 he reached number 16 in the UK pop charts with “Bad Young Brother”. He also produced for acts like the Cookie Crew and he wrote one track that I grew up listening to again and again in my house, “Anfield Rap”.
Hip Hop has lost a pioneer and my thoughts are with his friends and family.

This is news that wont only please Wu Tang fans but Hip Hop fans across London and the UK.
The Game and his entourage are being investigated by police in the UK over an assault on a fan.
Tinchy Stryder is set to go on a 14-date tour this September.
