White Stripes member Jack White has revealed that he has recorded a song with Jay-Z.
Speaking to GQ, White said,
“We did a song together a few weeks ago - it was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable sounding.”
There’s been no word on whether the track will get an official release.

This past friday i had the responsibility to pick up Justin Elam-Ruff from the airport and take him to the livefromheadqcourterz radio show….thats right this young man after posting this video and shaking up, not only my world, but, also the hip hop world……he made another decision, got on a plane and flew across the country to finish what he started…. the next morning i had the responsibility to take him to the hospital where his uncle remains in a coma..he really hadn’t slept much especially since at around 5am saturday morning…. this and this hit the wire….uhhh huuuhh!!!…
we approached the information desk in the main lobby of the hospital…we were asked “how can i help you gentlemen” by the intake woman at the front desk…Justin replied…”i’m here to visit my uncle keith elam”….the rather nice but professional older woman who asked the first question raised her eyebrow and responded…”lemme check the list”…..her first response after checking the first list was…”well your name is not on this list let me check the other list”……she then continued….”oh ok, your name is on this list”….”i’m sorry i cannot allow you to go see the patient”…yeah let that marinate… it seems like there were two lists…one list (the first list she looked at) had the names of people allowed to visit(the patient) …..the other list(the second list she checked) had the names of people who were not allowed to visit(the patient)

JUSTIN NICHOLAS ELAM-RUFF’s name was on that second list….TRUTH!!
oh soooo many questions……

Guru is recovering in hospital after surgery following his heart attack at the weekend.
DJ Premier said the surgery was a “success”.
Around 2am last night, rumours spread on the internet that Guru had passed away. But thankfully DJ Premier cleared that up after telling Q-Tip that Guru was still having surgery.
Yesterday Solar thanked fans for their support.
“Guru is struggling with a serious health issue…and we appreciate all your love and well wishes. We continue to hold out hope that Guru will make a full recovery from this and ask that his privacy on this matter be respected. Again thank you for all your support through this trying time.”

Jay-Z is suing investment firm Highland Capital Management for $3.7m (£2.3m) over a 2007 loan to help him build a hotel in Manhattan.
The rapper, real name Shawn Carter, says that, when the value of the land he had bought fell, he tried to give it back to Highland to avoid repossession.
Mr Carter says the company dragged its heels costing him millions in interest.
Highland said it would defend itself against the “meritless” claims, saying the loan remained in default.
The new building was to have been called the J Hotel.
Mr Carter also claims that Highland improperly diverted funds from a reserve account he had set up to cover any environmental problems.
“This action arises out of the efforts by defendants to bleed additional funds from the plaintiff,” the rapper’s lawyers stated in legal documents.
“Defendants embarked on a bad faith course of conduct.”
Mr Carter is seeking the damages, as well as a declaration allowing the land to be given back to Highland.
On the red carpet of the Grammys yesterday, Wyclef confirmed that the remake is being done and that proceeds would be going to fund aid relief in Haiti.
RollingStones have now confirmed that Hova, Slim Shady, Akon, Wyclef and a whole host of other artists have all signed up for the “We Are The World” Remake.
Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Barbra Streisand are just a handful of the 100-plus stars scheduled to take part in a re-recording of “We Are the World” to benefit Haiti, producer RedOne told Rolling Stone yesterday at the Grammys. Other artists contributing to the new “We Are the World” — a remake of the 1985 USA for Africa charity single that was co-written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie — include Celine Dion, Fergie, Wyclef, Enrique Iglesias and more musicians who attended yesterday’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
“I’m so delighted and so happy to get a dream call from Quincy Jones and Randy Phillips and Lionel Richie,” RedOne told RS. “I know that Lionel Richie has been asked like 150-something times to redo ‘We Are the World’ and he said no to everything until this Haiti thing happened. The moment he saw that it happened he was like, OK, ‘We Are the World.’ And to be one of the people they called to have fresh input to the song, to help produce the song — I have no words.”
