Tracks Of The Week

Thank god it’s Friday!

In the week Kendrick dropped his album and Meek Mill’s leaked, there has been a lot of music to choose from and listen to.

Today, Sif Infamous and Smackie took the time out to give you their tracks of the week.

Kendrick, Angel Haze and others make the cut.

Take a look below.

Kendrick Lamar featuring Jay Rock – “Money Trees”

This was a great week in my eyes, K.Dot brought the world his debut studio album “Good Kid M.a.a.d City” which to my delight is being given worldwide love (Shyne can eat a d**k as far as im concerned). With this one he brought out his big homie Jay Rock. This song, just like GKMC has the perfect balance between story telling, head nodding and not to mention it is one of the catchiest joints on the album. We out here gettin money ya bish!!!!

Action Bronson X Alchemist – “The Symbol”

This video had me in stitches!! the bars and of course with ALC on the beat was completely on point, which has built anticipation for their collab EP “rare chandeliers” which is out anytime soon

A$AP Rocky ft. 2 Chainz, Drake & Kendrick Lamar – “Fuckin Problem”

A Posse track with a difference. The club paradise fam linked up and brought 2 Chainz along. I dont know whether its that sample during the chorus (what song is that?) or the fact that it’s not your run of the mill A$AP Rocky track that gave it so much reload value but its definitely a good first leak for Long Live A$AP.

Chief Keef – “Love Sosa”

You guys are going to have to forgive me for this. I don’t really even understand what Chief Keef is saying in this song but my ratchet side emerged immediately i heard “Young Chop on the beat”. This is definitely one for bumping in the whip and i bet there is gonna be a flurry of remixes and freestyles to this beat.

Angel Haze – “Cleaning out My Closet”

Many rappers get ‘real’ on their songs but few have probably been as real as Angel Haze on her Cleaning Out My Closet freestyle. Literally a form of therapy I suspect, Angel recalls being sexually abused from a young age and the subsequent turmoil she later faced on sexuality, her mental thoughts, her self image and naturally her anger. Besides the shocking lyrics her flow is sweet and matches Eminem’s track perfectly and I could imagine these two harmounsly spitting together over this instruemental and it sounding just right. Definitely a brave move by Angel to go soo deep so early on, but either way an interestong track to come out this week.

Kendrick Lamar – “The Recipe” (feat. Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q & Jay Rock

Technically this song isn’t new but the remix is so there :p. Loved the original with Dre, but now the Black Hippy crew renute to remix one of the standout tracks of Kendrick’s debut album good kid m.A.A.d. city. This song has been on repeat since I ever first laid ears on it and now with the latest additions I think it will stay on repeat. I still am unable to decide who delivered the killer verse on this, yet I am sure maybe on the 100th listen I will have an answer.
